 Review: "Kalki 2898 AD Kalki 2898 AD is an intellectually very beautiful, riveting, and ambitious Indian science fiction film helmed by Prashanth Neel. In this dystopian wear and tear, the film has a very unusual storyline wherein ancient mythology is intertwined with modern technology. It has Prabhas, known to audiences from epic blockbusters, with a stately supporting cast comprising Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, amongst others. The premise is for the film to be based in the year Ad 2898, in which the world gets ravaged by some catastrophic event that makes human beings struggle for existence. At such a desolate future, the remnants of civilization are ruled by tyrannical forces who misuse the remains of advanced technology and ancient wisdom. The film traces the lead character enacting the role of a savior who comes out to lead the rebellion against the tyrannical regime.
